How to use a HUD template correctly
A HUD template should reduce setup time, not replace testing. The most important question is whether each high-frequency action can be reached without forcing another finger to abandon movement or aim. That is why multi-finger layouts separate fire, scope, movement and utility controls.
2 finger vs 3 finger vs 4 finger
| Layout | Strength | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| 2 finger | Simple and familiar | More actions compete for the same thumbs |
| 3 finger | Good balance of speed and learning curve | Requires one index finger habit |
| 4 finger | Separates aim, movement and firing more cleanly | Higher coordination demand |
| 5 finger | More dedicated controls | Can become cramped on small phones |
What to adjust first
Start with the fire buttons, movement stick and Gloo Wall position because they are used under pressure. Keep important buttons separated enough that a fast swipe does not trigger the wrong action. After that, adjust jump, crouch, scope and utility buttons. Test the layout for several matches before making large changes.
